Food Donations
Donations of nonperishable food help to stock our Food Pantries throughout the county. Have your business, school, church or civic club consider an ongoing food drive. The most desirable items include:
• Canned soups, stews, vegetables, & fruit
• Canned meat & fish (especially tuna)
• Baby foods
• Peanut butter & jelly • Beans
• Pasta & noodles (and sauce) • Rice
• Juices • Dried Milk
Thrifty Shopper Donations
The Santa Barbara and Santa Maria thrift stores provide our Community Services clients with no-cost clothing and household goods and the need for these items is ongoing. The Santa Barbara Store offers for sale quality furniture, fine home furnishings and accessories, art work, jewelry, designer clothing and shoes, adult bicycles, games and books.
The Santa Maria Store principally relies on donations of good, used clothing. (Regulations prevent us from accepting computer electronics, mattresses, infant car seats, baby cribs, strollers, high chairs, or any damp or moldy clothing and bedding.)
